youre-killing-me-love: suicideisnotanoption4u: 8-years ago, CHP Officer Kevin Briggs talked this young man out of jumping off the Golden Gate Bridge. That young man’s name is Kevin Berthia. Today he is 30 years old and married with 2 children. This week he presented Officer Briggs with an award on behalf of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. The story of how Officer Briggs talked Kevin down is remarkable. As you can see in the picture, Kevin is literally one step away from jumping to his death. But for more than hour, the officer listened to Kevin pour his heart out about his troubles and told him, “I know you think things are bad, but they can get better.”Kevin says, “Officer Briggs never made me feel guilty for the situation I was in. He made feel like, I understand why you are here, but there are alternatives”Kevin is just one of countless lives Briggs has saved over his 23 year career.Briggs, who was promoted to Sergeant five years ago, is humble about what he does. I Met Her Over The Phone Because My Best Friend Just Moved And I Called Her Up During School , I Met This Girl Who I Thought Was To Unbelievable Pretty To Be Gay . We Became Pretty Close Even Though I Started Getting The Hints That She Was Just Trying To Get With Me , I Was Currently In A Relationship With Someone So I Really Wasn’t Interested So She Just Became This Friend That I Talked To All The Time , She Was There When I Needed Someone To Vent To, Or Just Someone To Talk To , She Helped Me Every Step Of The Way Since Ive Met Her , She Is The Most Positive Most, Amazing Person I Have Ever Met , She’s Never Made Me Anything But Happy .. Months Went By And I Almost Lost Her A Couple Of Times And That’s When I Realized I Fell For Her Along The Way .. Months Went Past And It Hit Summer . I Found Myself Head Over Heals For Her , I Did . And We Became This Item . I Called Her Mine , She Called Me Hers . But We Haven’t Met Yet My Parents Didn’t Approve Of Me Being With A Girl ,She Said A lot Of Harsh Things, So We Lied To Them And She Planned To Come Down On My Birthday And Ask Me Out , But I Didn’t Want To Wait Till November , So She Asked Me Out During September .. She’s The Person I Went To For Everything , She’s The Only Person Who’s Lifted Me Higher Then The Clouds , And She Is The Only Person I Would Like To Spend My Life With . We Go Through Hell Almost Every Day , But If She Wasn’t Worth It Would I Still Be With Her ? I Complain Alot Over The Things We Fight Over Because Alot Of Times It’s Small ..
